Improved Moderator Commands

At the moment the need for Administrators is high, and moderators low. This is a problem, as most of the staff should consist of moderators, and only a few of us as admins. The main needs of admins are regioning, and placing water/fire/lava blocks. These jobs should be handed over to the moderators, as their role is to help the server, without giving them the power to destroy it. If we give them regioning (without W.E) and permissions for water/lava/fire, we can recruit quite a few moderators without the need for as many admins, as spec probably doesnt want them destroying the server with W.E

At the moment moderators can only teleport and ban, making them useless to the non griefing player on this server. If spec does add these 2 things to a moderatos arsenal, then players will be able to recieve help more frequently, and will take the stress of some of the more pressured admins (newb)

This should make help more redily available for players, and will make the moderator position more... useful.

And spec, if you do add these commands to admins and moderators i think you should make the recenly added administrators like dragonkin and toreono just moderators. They skipped right past the moderator stage and if these commands are added they won't be needed as admins, just moderators.

Admins do have permission for water, as for mods not having regoininog is to prevent any unexperienced user to mess with it. Not everyone know regioning. And, I didn't refine the permissions so much, cause there is the server part being worked on.

thank you for answerring the question, and i guess that makes sense. But when someone is promoted to admin someone has to teach them to region so they get experience. If we let them learn as moderators then it will be the same sort of thing, but that will be all they need to learn, whereas admins need to learn how to use all the commands. If admins or more experienced moderators teach the new moderators how to region i think it could work quite well. I taught dragonkin in a few minutes, and he seemed to get the hang of it pretty quickly. We could make a 'how to region' tutorial on the forums so that moderators can learn off the forums when no one is online. I think it would be worth it because there isn't really a place for moderators at the moment.

Moderators need something then. They need to take some pressure off the admins.

That's why they have ban, admins don't need to ban, mods are supposed to do it. Admins is more gameplay-support while Mods enforce whatever rules this server has

i think we should be able to use any IP commands and be able to use /jump.

Jump is laggy tho, and because of the new mc update if you get in a wall you will be pushed outide, likely to fall down (note that you dont have god)
